Goddess Maa Shailputri, the daughter of Himalaya is worshipped on the first day. The goddess is also known as Sati, Bhawani, and Parvati or Hemavati. This day is devoted to the yellow color. Yellow symbolizes brightness and happiness signifies the complete form of Mother Nature – Mata Shailputri.
The ride of Goddess Shailputri is bull and because of that, she is also known as Vrisharudha. Goddess Parvati is illustrated with two hands. She carries Trishul in her right hand and the lotus flower in her left hand.
