Maa Chandraghanta 3rd Form Of Goddess Durga​

Maa Chandraghanta is worshipped on the third day. This day symbolizes to red colour.
Goddess Chandraghanta rides on a tigress and wears the half-moon on her forehead. Since the half-moon on her forehead looks like the bell and because of that she is known as Chandra-Ghanta. She is illustrated with ten hands and carries Trishul, Gada, sword and kamandal in her four left hands and keeps the fifth left hand in Varada Mudra.

She carries a lotus flower, arrow, Dhanush, and japa mala in her four right hands and keeps the fifth right hand in Abhaya Mudra.
This is a peaceful form of the goddess and is believed to give you the strength to fight all your fears. It is believed that the sound of the moon-bell on her forehead expels all types of spirits away from her devotees.

Maa Chandraghanta represents the state of fearlessness, courage, and strength to overcome obstacles. The crescent moon on her forehead is a symbol of tranquillity and serenity, while her fierce and warrior-like form underscores the idea that inner strength and righteousness are necessary to confront adversities.

Sharadiya Navratri 2023 Dates

According to the Panchang, the auspicious time for establishing Kalash on Pratipada Tithi of Shardiya Navratri 2023 i.e. The first day is from 11:48 am to 12:36 pm on 15th October. In such a situation, the auspicious time for establishing the Kalash will be only 48 minutes this year.

Ghatasthapana Date: Sunday 15 October 2023
Ghatasthapana Muhurat: 06:30 AM to 08:47 AM
Abhijit Muhurat: 11:48 AM to 12:36 PM

17 October 2023 – Goddess Maa Chandraghanta (Third Day), Tritiya Tithi

Her favourite flower is Jasmine too so you can offer these flowers on day one of Navratri to Mata Chandraghanta.

Prasadam Tanute Mahyam Chandraghanteti Vishruta॥

Goddess Maa Chandraghanta’s form combines grace and valor. Her protective and benevolent nature is invoked by her devotees during Navratri to overcome obstacles, eradicate evil forces, and instill courage and fearlessness in their hearts. Her iconic half-moon bell-shaped ornament serves as a reminder of her tranquil yet fierce nature, emphasizing the need for balance in one’s approach to life’s trials and tribulations.
