Regarding the starting date of Shardiya Navratri this year, let us tell you that Shardiya Navratri will start on 15th October and will end on 24th October. People observe fast on Pratipada and Ashtami Tithi of Navratri, while others fast for the entire nine days. At the same time, the festival of Vijayadashami is celebrated on the tenth day of Navratri, which is also known as Dussehra.

Let us know the auspicious time for setting up the Kalash in Shardiya Navratri:

According to the Panchang, the auspicious time for establishing Kalash on Pratipada Tithi of Shardiya Navratri 2023 i.e. The first day is from 11:48 am to 12:36 pm on 15th October. In such a situation, the auspicious time for establishing the Kalash will be only 48 minutes this year.

19 October 2023 – Goddess Maa Skandamata (Fifth Day), Panchami Tithi
20 October 2023 – Goddess Maa Katyayani (Sixth Day), Shashti Tithi
21 October 2023 – Goddess Maa Kalratri (Seventh Day), Saptami Tithi
22 October 2023 – Goddess Maa Mahagauri (Eighth Day), Durga Ashtami
23 October 2023 – Mahanavami, (Ninth Day), Maa Siddhidatri Sharadiya Navratri Fast.
24 October 2023 – Immersion of Goddess Durga Idol, Dashami Tithi (Dussehra)

The name Shardiya Navratri has been taken from Sharad Ritu. All nine days during Navratri are dedicated to the nine forms of Goddess Shakti. Shardiya Navratri falls in the month of September or October. The nine-day festivity culminates on the tenth day with Dussehra/Vijaya Dashami.
